Ann Munene, Mediator

ANN MUNENE, J.D. is Associate Director of the Northern California Mediation Center (NCMC) and has been with the Center since 2004. Ann is a mediator and focuses on small business mediation, small claims actions mediation, as well as relationship mediation (Mediation to Stay Together also known as Marital Mediation). In her practice, she assists clients to attain their goals during life transitions by reaching mutually acceptable agreements.

Ann received her law degree from the University of California, Hastings College Law with a concentration in Alternative Dispute Resolution and Civil Litigation. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in both Psychology and Legal Studies, graduating with honors from the University of California, Berkeley. Additionally, Ann received her 40-hour mediation training from NCMC as approved by the Association for Conflict Resolution. She also served as a mediator on the San Francisco Superior Court small claims mediation panel and has been a training coach for NCMC’s mediation trainings. Ann has diverse experience working with different populations including children and separating couples, as well as a geriatric population in a rehabilitation setting.

Currently, Ann is a member of the American Bar Association and the Marin County Bar Association, where she volunteers on several committees. In the past, Ann volunteered for the Novato Chamber of Commerce Business and Education Committee and, as a student, on the Academic Standards Committee at University of California, Hastings College of the Law.
